At the Dunes Golf and Winter Club every golfer will find a mature course that winds through a natural forest and open rolling dunes to provide an excellent challenge. Multiple tees allow the course to be played from 5300 to 6450 yards suiting every caliber of player with water being a factor on eleven holes.

The first ten holes are carved through a natural pine and spruce forest. Accuracy is at a premium however most holes leave a reasonable bailout area. Hole 6 with the ghostly jack pine on the right side of the fairway is talked about through out the region as this demanding hole tends to beat up players but always manages to draw them back.

Eight holes on The Dunes nine tend to open up as a result of the naturally rolling sand dunes in the area. Looks however can be deceiving as errant shots can easily find a watery grave as six holes require the shot maker to work the ball around the course. Hole 13 often draws considerable “what if” conversations as the short par 5 entices the player to shoot at the well protected green. The signature 15th requires players to focus on the tee shot as the views from the elevated tee deck overlooking the river valley provide a scenic backdrop to a par three that often requires players to have a good sand game to save par. Bunkers short, left, and long ensure that par is a good score.
